Virgin Mobile FreeFest is more than just a free music festival, it’s about giving back to the community.

Last year over $80,000 was raised and more than 30,000 hours of volunteer time to support the cause against youth homelessness.  Since the festival is free, organizers do ask for a donation of $5 (which is totally reasonable).  Learn more about VM FreeFest’s cause on the official website.

This year’s lineup is pretty impressive.  I mean the lineup has PAVEMENT!  We’re also looking forward to catching LCD Soundsystem, Yeasayer, and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros.

If you’re in the Columbia, Maryland area – check out the festival!   The festival is only 2o minutes outside of Baltimore.  Gates open at 11AM, show end time is 10PM.
