We love The Marcy Stop , a project from photographer Micol Cortese and her muse Lauren Gould. They celebrate their experiences living and swapping clothes in Williamsburg, Brooklyn — just off the Marcy stop of the JMZ subway line.
In fact we collaborated with The Marcy Stop for Holiday and Resort look book images, and that was so much fun…
Recently The Marcy stop posted images of Lauren’s outfit celebrating her 28th birthday, and she’s wearing our Callie boots… To see the entire spread, click here.
Happy Birthday Lauren!!!

We have style envy when it comes to style blogger, Lauren, from the Marcy Stop who also guest blogged for yours truly! That girl puts together some awesome outfits, and she rocks them too!

Our Paz Maize wedges are our go to shoes on those hot days when a cute summer dress is all we can bear. But now that we’ve seen Lauren in this look, we can’t wait to try them on with a pair of high-waisted jean shorts!

ASOS backless mint green dress, 80%20 Erie Wedges
Before Lauren and I started the blog, I would take my camera out only for special occasions: an inspirational photo shoot featuring Lauren, a collaboration with our good friend Aviva of Viva Aviva (also featuring Lauren) or in the privacy of my own studio space various self portraits.
The photos in this series were taken by me in my bedroom in my recently vacated apartment. I had been meaning to shoot in this room for ages because the early evening light is gorgeous and I had yet to capture it in the three years I had been living there. With my move imminent I decided it was the perfect time to document the warm, hazy light I look forward to every summer.
I paired my ASOS backless dress with my new 80%20 Erie Wedges. The dress itself has a lot going on with the fullness of the skirt and skin baring in back so I wanted to keep it simple with the shoots but still make a statement. These wedges were up for the challenge and although I was unadorned with jewelry or accessories the look felt simple and perfect for summer.
This is the last of our guest blogging series and we’ve had so much fun blogging for 80%20 this past month. We love their shoes (obviously!) and want to give a huge THANK YOU for supporting our blog as well. We hope if you’ve loved reading about us here you’ll continue to follow along at The Marcy Stop.
xx, Micol

Mulberry bag, Urban Outfitters tank, C&A sunnies, thrifted shorts, 80%20 Paz sandals.
One of the best parts of working on the blog with Lauren is that we’re both open to an impromptu photo shoot no matter where we are. Prime example: this past weekend I ran in the Brooklyn Half-Marathon, an amazing run that begins in Park Slope and ends in Coney Island. Lauren’s bf also signed up to run and Lauren signed up to wake up at the crack of dawn and cheer us on at the finish.
Never one to waste an opportunity, once we had finished the race Lauren and I took in the sites and snapped a few photos along the way. As it was a perfect, warm summer day Lauren paired her yellow tank and patterned cream shorts with the 80%20 Paz sandal to add a dose of tribal print to her look. The bright colors fit right in with our surroundings and the comfortable wedge silhouette made it a piece of cake to explore the boardwalk.

Although Micol and I generally share the same fashion sensibilities, since she prefers to remain the photographer behind the lens it’s rare for our readers to get a glimpse of her individual style. A shame if you ask me, because she’s one of the most fashion-forward girls I know.
Don’t believe me? Check out how she worked 80%20’s versatile Edie loafer into two completely different, but equally cool, looks below…
WORKING WOMAN

Outfit details: Marc Jacobs Crosby Sutton bag, Blank Denim jeans, White zip blazer from La Di Da Dee, Brooklyn.
Work attire doesn’t need to be a drag! Here Micol dressed up the Edie for the office by incorporating a black and white palette, a crisp blazer and a structured handbag. I especially like how the black and white tones allow the subtle color of the shoes to stand out.
BRUNCH BEAUTY

Outfit details: Thrifted sundress, Vintage Member’s Only jacket, Marc Jacobs 70’s style shoulder bag, vintage belt.
Who wants to think about the office during your day off? To achieve a laid-back weekend look, Micol paired the Edie with a voluminous striped sundress and vintage bomber jacket. Perfect for brunch at one of our local favorites, Walter Foods (PS: See if you can spot our favorite bartender Reuben in the background).
