2012 Central Park Summerstage
SummerStage, a program of City Parks Foundation, presents performances of outstanding artistic quality, free of charge, to serve the diverse communities of New York City since 1986! Each year consists of a diverse lineup representing a breadth of genres and cultures and perform in an outdoor setting accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. It must be noted that all shows go on RAIN OR SHINE and are only canceled in the event of dangerous lightning during a performance. I once stood in the rain to catch TV on the Radio’s set and was completely drenched but it was worth it.
Here’s our SummerStage short-list. To view the full event calendar, head over to the event’s official site.
