Although Micol and I generally share the same fashion sensibilities, since she prefers to remain the photographer behind the lens it’s rare for our readers to get a glimpse of her individual style. A shame if you ask me, because she’s one of the most fashion-forward girls I know.
Don’t believe me? Check out how she worked 80%20’s versatile Edie loafer into two completely different, but equally cool, looks below…
WORKING WOMAN
Outfit details: Marc Jacobs Crosby Sutton bag, Blank Denim jeans, White zip blazer from La Di Da Dee, Brooklyn.
Work attire doesn’t need to be a drag! Here Micol dressed up the Edie for the office by incorporating a black and white palette, a crisp blazer and a structured handbag. I especially like how the black and white tones allow the subtle color of the shoes to stand out.
BRUNCH BEAUTY
Outfit details: Thrifted sundress, Vintage Member’s Only jacket, Marc Jacobs 70’s style shoulder bag, vintage belt.
Who wants to think about the office during your day off? To achieve a laid-back weekend look, Micol paired the Edie with a voluminous striped sundress and vintage bomber jacket. Perfect for brunch at one of our local favorites, Walter Foods (PS: See if you can spot our favorite bartender Reuben in the background).

Getting Lauren into anything other than four inch heels or her $hitkicker wedge boots can be a challenge, but when she saw these 80%20 suede brogues she instantly fell in lust. And good luck trying to get them off her feet after she realized how comfortable they were. As usual, I was reminded of our daily frustration – we’re not the same shoe size.
Paired with some cuffed black jeans, a studded belt and her boyfriend’s vintage tee it was the perfect outfit for a low-key dinner at one of our favorite nearby spots, Traif .
Insider tip: If you ever get a chance to check the place out yourself, don’t forget to order the bacon doughnuts. They’re almost as drool-worthy as these shoes.
xx, Micol

Outfit details: Boy. by Band of Outsiders shrunken oxford shirt, J.Crew sweatshirt, Rag & Bone shorts, 80%20 Molly sandals
These sandals are so comfy, especially with the hidden wedge for some heel cushioning, I was running all over town in them…literally. I wore this outfit to go house hunting this weekend (we haven’t found the one yet…the search continues!) I like the boyish look of the Molly sandals with these Rag & Bone cargo shorts, and it would have been too easy to overcommit to a safari look, but I wanted to feminize it with a pop of bright pink.
Katy Atlas of style blog Sugarlaws was snapped wearing our Yasha Polynesian Blue wedges! The platform and cushioned footbed make it extremely easy to walk in these shoes. The Yasha in Polynesian Blue will be available on our site in April but you can find the style in Red at Anthropologie.
Our Edie open-toe loafer is the best transitional shoe for Spring. If you’re just not ready to commit to showing off all of your toes…what about two of them? They are my favorite new shoes and are also featured in this month’s Nylonmagazine! They look perfect paired with skinny jeans or bold-printed leggings. Our Edie in Black is now available at Solestruck.
