Edge of Urge opened in Wilmington, NC in 2002 by clothing designer Jessie Williams. The store started out in a 400 square foot space filled with handmade clothing and accessories by Williams and other indie designers. Today Edge of Urge has evolved into two thriving businesses: Edge of Urge, the boutique and Edge of Urge, designs by Jessie Williams.

Jessie’s jewelry collection is unique and free spirited – we absolutely adore her designs.  Although she has no formal training in clothing or textiles, her background in fine art and design (she attended School of the Art Institute of Chicago) gives her a deep appreciation and understanding of quality, individuality, color, form, lines, and texture.

The boutique strongly supports the handmade, DIY, innovative, and creative thinking. Their free-standing store is open 7 days a week or you can shop online anytime!
