Reading Rainbow | Always on my Mind

Posted on by Kristina

Reading Rainbow’s “Always on my Mind” has been the star track on my November studio mix. Sarah and Rob were first in another band with a series of shows booked, and the drummer called two weeks before the gigs unable to play.  Instead of canceling the shows, they started a new band and Reading Rainbow was born.

The video’s directed by Amanda Finn from Brooklyn band Family Trees. It’s a take on french new wave films from the 60′s, particularly ones by Jean Luc Godard, which the band loves.

READING RAINBOW always on my mind

Reading Rainbow’s Prism Eyes is out now on Hozac Records.

Fun fact:  The band referred to themselves as Reading Rainbow long before they were playing as a band. They found it funny and ironic. It’s also a fun alliteration.
Our immensely talented friend Amanda Finn from Family Trees shot and edited the video with assitance from the also immensely talented Ryan Trott of Family Trees.
