Proenza Schouler worked with Harmony Korine (Kids) on a short film inspired by their Fall 2010 Collection.

I totally understand there’s an exploitative aesthetic here that is very Korine.  However, I feel depressed about fashion after seeing this short film, Act Da Fool.   In the Video Interview with Jack and Lazaro, the designers attempt to explain how they feel the film is optimistic in the “beauty of what society has refused”.  Now if they really think that, and people are motivated to buy the collection after watching the Korine piece, then that’s really depressing.
