Art, Food, Shopping

Posted on by Kristina

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and we’re always looking for new ways to celebrate this special occasion.  Luckily, there are a lot of fun things happening this weekend in New York.  Some art, food, and shopping…could you ask for more?

The Hester Street Fair has been open for two weekends now to a record number of visitors.  We checked out the fair’s offerings during the first weekend and it was packed!  It was nice to see so many local businesses and community members supporting the new venture.  One of the organizers SuChin Pak says, “they’ve been working hard to introduce new vendors each week and to give visitors a different experience on Saturdays and Sundays.” This weekend, the fair is hosting Bake for Hope, a bake sale benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.  And if you haven’t found the perfect gift for your mom yet, maybe you’ll find something at the fair!  For a full list of participating vendors, check out the official site.

Also happening on Sunday…moms get in for free at the New Museum!
