Art, Craft, and Fashion
When reviewing our photos from last week’ art show, the images that stood out were based on craft and design. Perhaps we are drawn to these three dimensional objects because most relate to what we do here than more traditional forms like painting.
Doll Chair
An upside down homage to Claes Oldenburg made of Spools of Thread.
A “painting” made from nylon hosiery.
Very very small person knitting.
A weaved harp
We’ve also noticed how craft has entered fashion with the abundance of Navajo weaves on Apparel. The leader of this trend are Opening Ceremony with their collaboration with Pendelton.
