80%20 and Ce Ce Chin Collection at Project
The big question on everyone’s lips is “What is the next stage of the footwear business over here at Magic?”. Footwear News Platform? Capsule? ENK? There’s even a new show called Workroom- will check it out tomorrow. The overall energy at Project was mellower than previous seasons and clearly the number of footwear brands represented is smaller. Its a gamble this season, just like craps at the casino. When people ask me if I’m gambling, I say, “well I put X amount of money on #1665 at the Project Trade show and so far it’s looking good!” Before the show started, I had my fingers crossed with my choice of staying at Project this season. However, I felt it was the destination for our loyal customers like American Rag in LA, SF and Untitled in Chicago. We’re next to our fellow brands, Dolce Vita, Bensimon, Sam Edelman and Report Signature. I’ll be scoping out Capsule and Platform tomorrow, but based on the first day, I’m happy we stayed.

Ce Ce doing a video interview about Spring 10 and Summer with Moxsie. Can’t wait to see how they post it!
Ce Ce with Jon Fahrner, CEO of Moxsie. He tells us that 80%20 has the leading click throughs on Moxsie’s banner ads on Perez Hilton. Wow!
The Project Show
The Peppermill, the Capsule party. Super fun!
Ludovic Malmoux, from Oetszi330 and me sipping the same silly drink.

With Lynne Hiriak from Cardigan by Lynn Hiriak. Lynne and I used to work at Michael Kors together.
Darin Hager from Heyday footwear. We discussed how crazy it is to enter the footwear business as an independent in such a corporate top heavy industry. Then we high fived because we’re both not only surviving, but thriving.
The Foundation Room balcony- a great view of Vegas.
With Tack Shin and Tim Haber from Cobian- a flipflop line from Orange County.

I really like your blog, especially post about Elvis. I am an Elvis Impersonator, so I really appreciate that.
