American Rag Cie is one of the premier boutiques in California. Their philosophy is “there is more to living the good life than meets the eye. One needs a certain verve and appreciation for the simple luxuries. Fortunately, that kind of flair can be bought.”
At American Rag Compagnie, the specialty stores located in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, you will find everything you need to live the good life! And it’s true! Founder, Mark Werts and his buying team travel the world in pursuit of unique and exclusive merchandise to fill the American Rag stores.
We’ve been working with American Rag since 2006…wow how time flies! They were one of the first boutiques to carry our graphic slip-on sneakers.

Unless you live under a rock, you know that the Northeast was hit with a major blizzard yesterday. We got almost two feet of snow in New York! It really was a sight to be seen. The wind was so strong setting the snow adrift that you could hardly see what was in front of you.
Swissmiss posted a timelapse video of the blizzard. It’s really awesome. Shot by Michael Black with a Canon DLSR on a tripod with a remote timer taking a photo every five minutes. Watch approximately 20 hours in 40 seconds!
Aaron Feaver is a photographer living in Los Angeles, California. I first stumbled upon his work through the suggestion of a friend and became an instant fan. I’ve purchased many of his prints via his Etsy store.
Catherine is the newest member to the 80%20 team working closely with Ce Ce on product design and development. She hails from Michigan, and had an adventure in Berlin for a few years before settling down in the Big Apple. We listen to music all day long in the studio and we very much appreciate her Pandora selections; her knowledge of house music is also a plus.
We welcome Catherine to the 80%20 family and happily introduce her to you! Meet Catherine!

Generationals is the collaboration of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer. On their second release, Trust EP, the shimmering hooks, girl-group choruses, and late-summer breeziness of their debut release Con Law remain intact in EP’s title track (“Trust”), but are joined by feedback loops, drum-machine beats, and abstractly dubbed-out, wobbling basslines throbbing organically in the mix.
We first fell in love with the Generationals with their track “When They Fight They Fight” but “Victim of Trap” is quickly becoming a new favorite!
The band has just put the finishing touches on its sophomore full-length, titled Actor-Caster, the album will see the light of day on March 29, 2011 on Park The Van.

Joan Shepp is one of the premier boutiques in Philadelphia with a very impressive shoe lounge carrying styles from Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Louboutin and even 80%20!
The boutique first opened in a Philly suburb in 1971 to later relocate to the Center City location on Rittenhouse Square in 1999. They’ve been recognized as one of the country’s style leaders in a handful of publications like Harper’s Bazaar and Lucky Magazine. What we love about Joan Shepp is the mix of luxury items to independent designers and vintage finds. We’re very honored to be among the many brands at their brick and mortar location.
If you don’t live in Philadelphia, they have select brands and styles available at their online store.
Starting tomorrow through Sunday, December 19th, our dearest friend Shelly Bromfield is hosting a trunk show at the Joan Shepp store.
You’ll find our Diva shoe in black sequins, grey sequins, and black satin. See photos here.
If you want to shop a look straight from the pages of the latest fashion editorials, we’re fairly certain that you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for at Joan Shepp!
