Penguin Prison – Something I’m Not
If you haven’t heard of Penguin Prison yet, well get ready to be charmed. Chris Glover aka Penguin Prison and his live band played their first show ever just a few weeks ago at Mercury Lounge in New York and we heard it was amazing! Check out some live footage via ‘Sup Mag.
Here’s the official video for the single, “Something I’m Not” created by BretonLabs. All of the live action performance was shot over Skype with Chris in New York and BretonLABS in London.

Best Coast – When I’m With You
2010 is off to a great start for LA band Best Coast. Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino and bandmate Bobb Bruno have been building quite the following and they haven’t even released their debut LP yet. The 80%20 team can’t get enough of the band’s fuzzy, beachy tunes. We had the chance to catch Best Coast at Mercury Lounge in NY a couple of weeks ago and we fell in love even more!
They just released the official video for the single, “When I’m With You.” Check it out!
LOOMSTATE: Our Magnificent Earth
Last night, Loomstate and friends celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day at Good Units at Hudson by hosting a great party, OUR MAGNIFICENT EARTH.
The event offered face painting, psychic readings, a 20 foot tall pyramid interactive psychedelic installation, and the highlight of the evening was the 40 Drummers Ceremony led by Hisham Akira Bharoocha of Soft Circle. We had a fabulous time at the party!

Holy Ghost! – I Will Come Back
DFA artist Holy Ghost will be supporting labelmates LCD Soundsystem on their upcoming Spring tour. We first fell in love with the song, “Hold On” and it’s been almost two years since the band’s newest release, “I Will Come Back.”
The Juan Maclean and LCD Soundsystem member Nancy Whang and legendary producer Arthur Baker both make appearances in the video.
